I forgot my password.

Select “Sign In” on the upper right corner of the home page. When you see the login prompt, look for “I’ve forgotten my password.” Select this link, enter your email address, and choose “Send me an email.” Check your email and follow the instructions to reset your password. Use your new password to log in. Now you’re ready to resume learning!

The system tells me my email is already in use. What do I do?

This means you already have an account on The Big Know. You may have inadvertently chosen to “Create an Account” instead of choosing to “Sign In.” Be sure to choose the “Sign In” link at the top of your screen instead of the blue “Create an Account” button.

How do I access a course I signed up for?

To access a course, the first step is to make sure you are signed in. To do so, select the “Sign In” link at the top of your screen. If there is no “Sign In” link, you are already logged in. You can access your account by selecting “My Courses.” All of your courses are listed on the “My Courses” page. Choose the course you want to access and you can resume right where you left off.

What browsers can I use to ensure I get an optimal experience on The Big Know?

We recommend using Internet Explorer 11 or the most recent versions of Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari. The Big Know does not support Internet Explorer 8 or 9. If you’re using either those browsers, we recommend upgrading to a newer version—or give Google Chrome a try.

How do I unsubscribe from emails from The Big Know?

To unsubscribe, follow the “unsubscribe” instructions provided in any email that you received from The Big Know. Alternately, you can manage your communication preferences via your user profile, which is accessed by clicking on your user avatar (this is typically a round circle with the first letter of your first name at the top of the screen). Once in your user profile, select “Notifications” to change your communications settings.

What time do courses start? Do I have to be available at a certain time of day?

All of our classes are self-guided, so once the course is open, you can access, revisit all content, and work on your course at your own pace, whenever you wish.

I tried signing in using my email and password, but the site says my email isn’t recognized. What do I do?

In order to log in to our site, you will first need to create an account. Please note that your account is not created automatically by our partners (such as UnitedHealthCare, Life Reimagined, and Blue Zones). If you are trying to use credentials from their site, this may be your issue.

You can easily create an account by visiting our site and selecting the blue “Create an Account” button in the top righthand corner of the screen. Then enter the requested information and click “Create Account.” You will then be automatically signed into our site and ready to enroll in any available courses.

If you’ve already followed these steps but are still unable to sign in, try resetting your password. When you try to sign in, there is a link under the “Sign In” button saying “I’ve forgotten my password,” which you can use to reset your password by following the instructions on the page.

How do I enroll in a course?

In order to log in to our site, you will first need to create an account. This can be done easily by visiting our site www.thebigknow.com and clicking on the blue “Create an Account” button in the top right-hand corner of the screen. You will need to enter the requested information and click “Create Account” after which you will be automatically signed into our site and able to enroll in any of the courses we currently have.

After you have created an account, you can choose from any of the available courses. After you enter the course, don’t start the videos immediately, but rather scroll down and look for the green button that says “Take this Course” which will render you enrolled in this course. After that, you will need to re-enter the course again and look for the green button “Continue Lesson ” which will start the course.

What if I don’t finish the course during the open course period?

As long as you have enrolled in a course, all content will remain available to you after the course end date for an additional 45 days. There’s no rush. Complete the course on your own time.

How do I go back to a part of the course I’ve already finished?

Once you log in to our site and access the course (by selecting “Continue with Lesson 1”), you will notice the Outline button in the upper right-hand corner, directly under the “Sign Out” button. If you select this button, all of the lessons in the course will appear in the course outline. Note that, if you are viewing the course from a desktop or laptop computer, you’ll see the course outline without selecting anything. If you select any of the lessons, that lesson’s content will become visible. The outline is a great tool to navigate to any part of the course at any time you like.

How do I alter the personal information I’ve entered?

If you would like to change any of the details you’ve entered—such as your name, zip code, birth date, or password—you can do so on the account settings page. Once you log in to the site, enter your profile by clicking on the first letter of your name in the blue circle located next to the “Sign Out” button. This takes you to your account settings, where you can change or add any of your personal details.

How do I find my post in a discussion?

Discussions are posted chronologically. You can view the entire discussion entry by navigating to “View Full Discussion” button at the bottom of the discussion thread. You can search for a name or a date by pressing “CTRL + F” on your keyboard and entering a search term. (If you’re using a Mac, that’s “Command + F)
